Ben Levin Group returns to the studio
For the next 72 hours, we will be recording our next album Invisible Paradise and finishing some of the tracking for Freak Machine and Bent Knee’s first album. Invisible Paradise is my most classically influenced piece and it really stands out from everything else I’ve written. I am excited to start tracking! The recording schedule for the next three days at “The Record Company” in Boston will be really intense, check it out:
Friday:
8am – 2pm: Using the studio to finish vocal overdubs for Bent Knee
2pm-8pm: Getting guitar, bass, violin, piano, drums, and voice sounds and setting up isolation. (for Invisible Paradise)
8pm-12am: Tracking movement 6 live, then doing basics (drums and bass) for movement 1
12am-whenever: Tracking guitar for movement 1 plus acoustic overdubs for movement 6 and finishing guitar tracking for the Bent Knee album and Freak Machine (long night ahead of me!)
Saturday:
12pm-whenever: Full band basics for the rest of Invisible Paradise
around 8pm violin or piano overdubs for everything (even Freak Machine)
Around 12:30 am-whenever I die from exhaustion: Guitar for Invisible Paradise
Sunday:
12:00pm-2am or later, who knows? The rest of Violin, Piano, and Vocal overdubs.
Will we finish everything? God only knows… such is the nature of recording. I will be living here in the studio with Vince (producer/mixing man) for the whole 72 hours and am determined to get all of the guitar done at the least! Hooray!
-Ben
